Believers Shall Trust God
Introduction:
The trust in the Creator Lord Almighty Alloh is the prime reason of success for the believing community of Muslims. Harshness and meanness among the believers erode the sense of righteousness so the dwindling trustiness in Almighty which shatters the self confidence. Harshness and mean heartedness among us shall be replaced by tolerance, forgiveness and respect for the people among us so that our hearts become spacious to accommodate sense of righteousness, development and deeds for the mutual benefits. God-consciousness (Taquwah) is the prime criteria by which one would maintain merciful relationship with fellow believers especially those who are believers and connected with our blood relations yet provisional support to the needy is the command of Almighty Alloh {The Qur’an 04: 01}.
For any purpose of our lives, professional approach, solidarity of ranks with trust in Almighty Alloh would attract the support of our Lord by which we are bound to succeed irrespective of challenges we may face during our mission. The overwhelming task ahead must not make us pessimistic but encourage us to proceed with the trust in Almighty Alloh. If God supports us, none can defeat us and if He abandons us, who else can support us after that? And in God we believers shall trust. Thus we shall shortlist our priorities by which Almighty Alloh does not abandon us and we attract His Almighty’s support in our endeavours.
Now, we as believers in Almighty Alloh (The-God) shall ponder, prepare and implement what attracts the support of God for us. What would make us adjust in our life style, our attitude, our approach, our material efforts and our resilience during the pursuit of a mission?
The Qur’an Explains:

“It was mercy from God that you (O Prophet PBUH) became compassionate towards them. Had you been harsh and mean-hearted, they would have abandoned you. “Therefore, you shall pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them. Once you make a decision, carry out your plan, and trust in God. God loves those who trust in Him. “If God supports you, none can defeat you and if He abandons you, who else can support you after that? And in God the believers shall trust”. Even the prophet cannot take more of the spoils of war than he is entitled to. Anyone who takes more than his rightful share will have to account for it on the Day of Resurrection. That is when each soul is paid for whatever it earned, without the least injustice” {The Qur’an – Surah Ale Imran (Chapter: The Amramites) 03: 159 - 161}.
Almighty Alloh lists Compassion, Pardon, seeking Redemption and for others and Consultancy as most needed virtues among humans which His Almighty enriched The-Prophet (PBUH) with. Such traits help believers cement their trust in Almighty Alloh and support from His Almighty. But the traits like harsh and mean-heartedness have been posted as negatives in human life and erode the needed trust from God.
Because of the importance of compassion, once the people from the Midr tribe arrived to meet The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and they were wrapped with sheets of cloth without any other formal clothing around them. The Prophet (PBUH) after finishing the Salat Az Zuhar recited the verse:
“Be conscious of Alloh through Whom you seek your mutual rights and be heedful for (those born of) wombs” (Almighty) Alloh is watching over you” (04: 01) and stressed upon the companions to help the needy of the community [Hadith Sahih Muslim].
On the issue of compassion, once The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) held the hand of Abu Umama Baahli (RTA) and said: “O Abu Umama there are certain believers (Mo’mineen) for whom my heart pounds with compassion” [Hadith Musnad Ahmad].
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “I have been ordained to welcome (pardon), support (seek redemption for them) and appreciate people (seek consultancy from them) as I have been ordained to abide with obligatory tenets” [Hadith Tirmidhi]. Companion Ibn Abbas (RTA) states that this verse (03: 159) advised to consult Abu Bakr and Omar Bin Qhattab (RTA) [Hakim]. Both were the supporters and ministers in the cabinet of The Prophet (PBUH) and leaders of the Muslims too [Kalbi].
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said to Abu Bakr and Omar Bin Qhattab (RTA): “If both of you agree upon a matter then I would never oppose your agreement (decision)” [Hadith Musnad Ahmad]. The Prophet (PBUH) further added: If you consult with your intellectuals (in the community) then “heed to their collective advice because such are Rational (Ameen)” [Hadith Ibn Marduiya and Ibn Majah]. After consultancy and after a decision is made, implement the decision with absolute trust in Almighty Alloh because Almighty Alloh loves those who trust in Him and such a love is translated in the form of Support from God. Now we know all believers deserve mutual support and consultancy.
Trusting in Almighty Alloh means that when we hear a command, we obey it. We recognize that we are limited and that Almighty Alloh has no limits. He is Omniscient and we are His creatures with limited knowledge. We do not try to explain away the commands of Almighty Alloh by exegesis out of our mind without giving any consideration to what The Prophet (PBUH) explained and what the companions (RTA) understood. We shall accept and obey instantly. This is faith and trust.
“Say: Nothing will happen to us except what Alloh has decreed for us: He is our Protector: And on Alloh let the believers put their trust” [The Qur’an - 09:51].
Laudable Ahadith:
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RTA) that The Last Messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Alloh than a weak believer and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish (legal) which gives you benefit (here and Hereafter) and seek help from Alloh and do not lose heart, and if challenge comes to you, don't say If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say Alloh did that what He had ordained to do and your "if" opens the gate for the Satan” [Sahih Muslim: Book 32, Number 6441].
Narrated Imran Ibn Husain (RTA) that The Last Messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: Seventy thousand people of my Ummah would be admitted into Paradise without rendering any account. They (the companions) said: Who would be those (fortunate persons)? He (PBUH) said: Those who do not organize and do not practice magic, but rest trust in their Lord [Sahih Muslim: Book 1, Number 0422].
